Both from the restaurant's terrace, perched on the banks of the river, and from our dining room, your meal will be accompanied by stunning views of the upper town and Notre-Dame cathedral. Stroll along the river and through the town's narrow streets, lined with their traditional half-timbered houses, on a delightful walk back in time. The names of the streets evoke the merchant traditions and various trades that once thrived in this part of town. For example, Le Moulin de Ponceau is located at 21 rue de la Tannerie – the tannery. Then there's "Rue de la Corroirie" on the other side of the Eure where the leather hides were curried, giving them their final finish, and "Rue de la Foulerie" - home to the textile mills - all of which hark back to the leading artisanal professions of the era.
